Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Jin Advocacia is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of its clients, partners and website visitors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information, in accordance with Brazil's General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD, Brazilian Law No. 13.709/2018) and other applicable Brazilian rules.

1. Collection of Personal Data

We collect personal data when you interact with us on WhatsApp, by email or through other communication channels listed on the website. The data collected may include:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone and/or WhatsApp number
  • CPF or CNPJ (Brazilian individual or company taxpayer number, when needed to provide legal services)
  • Information about the legal matter you present
  • Browsing data (IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent on the site)

2. How We Use Your Data

The personal data collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Responding to contact requests and consultation bookings
  • Providing legal services and legal advice
  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligations, including before the OAB (the Brazilian Bar Association) and the courts
  • Sending informational messages about relevant changes in legislation and case law, with your consent
  • Improving the browsing experience and the operation of our website

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Jin Advocacia processes personal data on the following legal bases set out in the LGPD (art. 7): consent of the data subject; performance of a contract or of preliminary steps toward a contract; compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation; regular exercise of rights in judicial, administrative or arbitration proceedings; and the legitimate interest of the controller, when applicable.

4. Storage and Security

Your personal data is stored in a secure environment, with appropriate technical and administrative measures to protect the information against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration or any form of improper processing.

Data is kept only for the period needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, in line with the legal record retention periods that apply to the practice of law.

5. Your Rights (LGPD)

Under articles 17 to 22 of the LGPD, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Confirmation and access: confirm whether your data is being processed and access your personal data
  • Correction: request the correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data
  • Anonymization, blocking or deletion: request the anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in violation of the LGPD
  • Portability: request the transfer of your data to another service provider
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before
  • Information about sharing: obtain information about the public and private entities with which your data has been shared

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the channels listed at the end of this policy.

6. Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files that the website stores in your browser. We use cookies and similar technologies in three categories. The two optional ones start turned off and only work if you allow them.

  • Necessary: they store your choice about cookies. They cannot be turned off and do not depend on consent.
  • Visit statistics (optional): they use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, both from Google. They count visits, pages read, visit duration, device type, approximate city and clicks on buttons such as the WhatsApp button, so we know which pages are useful to people looking for a lawyer. They use the _ga and _ga_ cookies (valid for up to 2 years). The data is kept for 14 months.
  • Browsing recording (optional): it uses Microsoft Clarity, from Microsoft. It records movements, clicks and page scrolling in anonymized form and produces heatmaps, so we can find parts of the website that are hard to use. What you type in form fields and content such as numbers and email addresses is not recorded. It uses the _clck and _clsk cookies, and Microsoft may set its own cookies on its domain.

Cookieless audience measurement: the website also uses Vercel Web Analytics, from Vercel, the company that hosts the website. It does not store cookies or any other files on your device. It counts visits using a code generated from the request itself, which Vercel discards every day, and keeps only aggregated, anonymous data: page visited, referring website, approximate country and city, operating system, browser and device type. It does not allow anyone to identify you or to follow your browsing from one day to the next or across other websites. That is why it works regardless of your choice in the cookie notice.

Legal basis and transfer: visit statistics and browsing recording only happen with your consent, given separately for each (art. 7, I, of the LGPD, the Brazilian data protection law). Cookieless measurement is based on the firm’s legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used (art. 7, IX, of the LGPD). Google, Microsoft and Vercel, a United States company, may store this data on servers outside Brazil, under each company’s privacy policy.

How to choose and change your choice: in the cookie notice, “Accept” allows both optional categories, and “Settings” shows the categories, with the options “Save choices”, “Accept all” and “Reject all”. To change it later, click “Cookie preferences” in the footer of any page. If you turn off a category you had allowed, its measurement stops from that moment on. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

7. Data Sharing

Jin Advocacia does not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Sharing may occur only in the following cases: compliance with a legal obligation or a court order; performance of the legal services you hired (such as electronic filings with the courts); and with service providers essential to the operation of the website (such as hosting and data analysis services), always under contracts that ensure the protection of the information.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the law or in our data processing practices. The most recent version will always be available on this page, with the date of the last update. We recommend that you review this policy regularly.
